Learning For Life & Work

Department Staff

Overview

Learning for Life and Work (LLW) is about empowering our young people to develop as individuals and contributors to society, the economy and the environment. There are three strands to LLW which are Citizenship, Employability and Personal Development.

The LLW classroom is about delivering engaging and relevant topics, with activities and events that motivate and excite learners. Pupils are encouraged to actively participate with others in group work, class discussions and debates.

LLW lessons at St Killian’s College afford our pupils with opportunities to develop skills they require to think independently, make informed decisions and take appropriate action when faced with personal, social or economic issues. They are designed to foster successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors to their school and the communities in which they live.
